FFS has been invited to present a screening on MINDS ON THE EDGE and a hands-on workshop at the 2010 National GAINS Conference, which will take place March 17-19 immediately following the NCCBH in Orlando. More than 1,000 mental health policy leaders and criminal justice system professionals are expected to attend this conference.

The GAINS conference will focus on new opportunities for planning and coordination among the mental health, substance abuse, and criminal justice systems to over come barriers to change. Using two back-to-back sessions, FFS will present a screening of the full program followed by a hands-on workshop addressing how MINDS can be used as an education and advocacy tool to promote adoption of CIT, jail diversion and other evidence-based practices to reduce the justice involvement of people with mental illness.
