  • NAMI-BV and Brazos Valley Community Action Agency hosted a screening of MINDS ON THE EDGE on October 6, 2009 at the Brazos Center. Approximately 100 people attended.

  • In McKinney, Collin College screened MINDS ON THE EDGE for approximately 150 students on October 7, 2009 to raise awareness about mental health issues during Mental Illness Awareness Week. A county commissioner participated in the event.

  • In Sherman, NAMI-Fannin, Grayson and Cooke Counties held a screening of MINDS ON THE EDGE on November 13, 2009. Twenty-seven people attended.

  • NAMI-FORT BEND screened MINDS ON THE EDGE at its monthly meeting, attracting 50-100 people. The NAMI chapter president also plans to incorporate segments of the DVD in presentations he is giving to various companies and organizations in the community on the topic of mental illness.

  • In El Paso, the Alternatives Centre for Behavioral Health and Advantage Care Network hosted a MINDS ON THE EDGE event on December 3, 2009 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm called "Breaking the Silence: Mental Illness and the Family." Activities included free mental health assessments by licensed clinicians, a free screening and discussion of the "eye-opening" public television program MINDS ON THE EDGE: Facing Mental Illness.

  • NAMI-FORT WORTH has been using the MINDS ON THE EDGE

  • NAMI-Fannin, Grayson and Cooke Counties along with the Mental Health Mental Retardation Services of Texoma (MHMRST) presented MINDS ON THE EDGE at the 6th Annual Seminar on mental illness health at the county college.
