  • NAMI-NORTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA screened MINDS ON THE EDGE at Oklahoma State University's Student Union on October 6, 2009. The screening was followed by a panel discussion and community dialogue with Senator Jim Halligan, former president of OSU, Maureen Sullivan, professor of psychology at OSU and other local mental health officials.

    Mental illness is a tremendous challenge for individuals who live with a condition like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, for their families and friends and, ultimately, for the community. The dimensions of this urgent problem are brought to light in "Minds on the Edge: Facing Mental Illness," a program produced for broadcast on PBS that will be shown in free at Oklahoma State University Student Union Starlight Terrace, at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
